PLEASE NOTE:

This trip is thoughtfully designed for women who are seeking a balance of adventure, relaxation, and connection. If you want to know if you are a good fit, talk with Jill. We'll be spending the week together so flexibility in attitude and a "go-with-the-flow" mindset is crucial. We'll be on the move everyday and some of our days will be long. My ideal scene is that we're a supportive group that can have fun together.

If you do not have a roommate and still want to join, that is great, let me match you with someone!

Day 1: August 27th

Arrival in Johannesburg. It is strongly suggested you fly in the day before to adjust to the time change.

 

Spend your day at your leisure exploring the city and its diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. Tuck into the vibrant food scene and pop-up eateries.

The city is a real cultural hub and a great place to catch live music performances, so why not head and indulge in trendy bars and restaurants and soak up the atmosphere.

 

Overnight stay in Johannesburg.

Day 1: August 28th
Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town - Transportation from airport is provided.

Meet and greet and transfer to the hotel.

Join the group for dinner and get to know your fellow travelers.

Evening at leisure.

Day 2: August 29th
Cape Town

Following breakfast at your hotel we depart on a tour of the CITY of CAPE TOWN. Your tour will include a visit to the front of CITY HALL, where from the balcony on February 11, 1990, only hours after his release from prison, Nelson Mandela made his first public speech. Also close by are the PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS and Gardens. The tour will end with CABLE CAR TO TABLE MOUNTAIN (weather permitting) 

Return to the hotel 

Your afternoon is at leisure

In the evening, transfer to THE GOLD restaurant for dinner & DRUMMING EXPERIENCE. Dinner & entertainment included; drinks are on on your own.

Recommended activities for free time (At your cost):

  • Visit Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA)​

  • The Two Oceans Aquarium

  • group white sharks experience including light lunch

  • ​Sunset Catamaran Sailing in the Bay

Day 3: August 30th
Cape Town

Following early morning breakfast, set out along the breath- taking Chapman's Peak Drive towards a narrow finger of land, covered in endemic fynbos and home to picturesque bays, beaches, rolling green hills and valleys. Continue on a guided excursion to Cape Point -a world heritage site and a romantic meeting place of the Indian and the Atlantic Oceans.

 

A delicious lunch and a visit to Boulders beach to see a colony of endangered African penguins.

Day 4: August 31st
Cape Town

After breakfast, depart on full day Winelands Private Tour 

Visiting the best vineyards covered valleys of South Africa. As we learn about this region and how it came about, we visit some of the award winning wineries.

 

Early light lunch at Delaire Graff (included)

Day 5: September 1st
Kruger National Park

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport.

Direct flight into Kruger Park. (3 hours)

Transfer to the lodge and spend 3 nights in the breathtaking setting in search of “Big 5“ in a reserve, renowned for high concentrations of big game and leopard.

Afternoon Safari drive in an open air safari vehicle.​

Stay in a Luxury Tented Suite inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 6: September 2nd
Kruger National Park

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge.

 

Game drives, in open safari vehicles, head out at sunrise and again in the late afternoon.

 

The reserve’s natural animal populations include all of the Big Five, and it is renowned for the quality of its leopard sightings– the most elusive of predators.

​Sunset at The Royal Livingston Hotel

The Royal Livingston Hotel is where we will be staying during our time at Victoria Falls. The hotel has 3 resident giraffes. You will have the chance to see them roaming about and even get to feed them!​​

You will also have the option to upgrade your room from a Premier Balcony to a Deluxe Terrace room.

Day 8: September 4th
Victoria Falls - Livingstone

Free day in Victoria Falls. Plan your own activities or join and of the recommended activities below at a supplementary cost.

  • Track the black rhino

  • Night Safari at the Victoria Falls Game Reserve

  • Microlight

  • Dinner Steam Safari

  • Gorge Swing (single or tandem)

  • Heli Air Safari

  • Livingstone Island Tours & Devil's Pool (This is what Jill will be doing!)

Day 9: September 5th
Depart or Optional Day in Victoria Falls

Transfer to airport for flight to Johannesburg
