My Favorite Travel Credit Card
Chase Sapphire Preferred

I am going to start out here with a disclaimer, that if you are not the type to pay off your credit cards each month, then travel credit card hacking is not for you! The Chase Sapphire Preferred was my first "travel" credit card and I still love it and here is why!
-
Great sign on bonus: If you have a trip planned and are going to put it all on a card, open this card to get a bonus offer. I was able to buy my plane ticket to Iceland and Savannah after earning my bonus! I am all for FREE travel!
-
Generous Rewards Program: The Chase Sapphire Preferred typically offers lucrative rewards points on dining and travel purchases, making it appealing for those who frequently dine out or travel.
-
Flexible Redemption Options: Points earned with the Chase Sapphire Preferred can be redeemed for various options, including travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, statement credits, gift cards, or transferred to travel partners, providing flexibility and value.
-
Travel Benefits: The card often comes with travel-related perks such as trip cancellation/interruption insurance, rental car insurance, baggage delay insurance, and no foreign transaction fees, making it attractive for frequent travelers.
-
Premium Customer Service: Cardholders often praise the quality of customer service provided by Chase, including dedicated representatives for Sapphire cardholders, 24/7 support, and efficient resolution of issues.
Now the downfall is that there is an annual $95 fee. BUT you get a $50 bill credit when you book a hotel through Chase and all the other benefits save you enough money that make the card worthwhile!
